Bedrooms & Housekeeping
Cleaning and sanitising will be carried out with an emphasis on high contact areas such as remote controls, furniture, door handles, light switches, windows, luggage racks etc. Both bedrooms and bathrooms will be given a high degree of cleansing – as always. There will be no food room service. All room folders, stationery, Bibles, magazines, leaflets and other guest items will be removed following Scottish Government guidelines. Guests will be informed of meal times and other information pertinent to their stay. We will wear the appropriate clothing whilst servicing your room i.e. masks, gloves and aprons. Windows will be kept open throughout the day. A Legionella assessment has been carried out to the water supply
Should guests not wish their rooms to be cleaned during their stay then please advise us.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
Stay Alert
If you have any coronavirus symptoms before your visit – please stay at home. You may re-schedule your stay.
What if you become sick with the Virus whilst staying with us?
The period for incubation is 2-14 days so it is possible you could develop symptoms after you arrive. It is vital that you let us know if you feel unwell as soon as possible. You will be asked to return home immediately. In the event that you cannot drive we will contact NHS Scotland for their most current advice on what action to take including assisting with their test and trace programme. You will be required to stay in your bedroom and have no contact with any other guests especially if you are travelling with a group.
Essentials
Regrettably, we will not be able to shake hands with guests when they arrive.
Before entering the house, all guests will be asked to sanitise their hands and handles of their luggage with the sanitising items provided in the outside hall. Your temperature will be taken together with your contact details for check and trace as per the Scottish Government guifelines.
Guests who require assistance with their luggage will be assisted with physical distancing in place. All guests are to sanitise their luggage handles before this.
For group bookings, guests will be taken to their room two at a time with others waiting outside at a safe distance.
Room keys will be in the door of the bedrooms on arrival having been sanitised and we request that they are placed on the hall table on the ground floor for safe keeping when going out. Room keys will be sanitised each day.
Guests are not permitted to enter other guests’ bedrooms for any reason.
On each landing outside the bedrooms there will be hand sanitiser, sprays and wipes which guests are to use before proceeding down the stairs to the lounge/bar and dining room. The sanitising items will also be outside the dining room for breakfast and evening meals and the lounge/bar and are to be used before entering these rooms.
Menus in folders are not permitted so they will be printed on plain paper and given to each guest whereupon they will be destroyed after use. This applies to both dinner and breakfast menus. Wine and whisky lists are not permitted but the Manager is happy to advise what is available.
Hand Hygiene
Please wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use the hand sanitisers located throughout the house. Always sanitise before entering the lounge/bar and dining room and after using the cloakroom.
Please maintain a safe distance of at least 2 metres from staff and other guests at all times.
Face coverings may be worn in the house by choice and must be worn when entering shops, visitor attractions, on public transport and places of worship. Please see www.gov.scot for further guidance.
