Strathspey Railway

Steam trains – within a short distance of Culdearn House is the Strathspey Railwaywhich runs from Aviemore, through Boat of Garten ending at Broomhill and takes you on a nostalgic 20 mile round trip along part of the original Highland Railway main line from Perth to Inverness. The train passes through spectacular scenery running along side the River Spey with the Cairngorm Mountains in the background completing the picture. Broomhill Station features as Glenbogle in the BBC’s Monach of the Glen.

The railway also featured in Danny MacAskill’s “Wee Day Out” video. The video, featuring the acclaimed Scottish cyclist, has had around 10 million views on You Tube.
